A certified adult nurse practitioner, Katie Benson provides routine primary health care with a special interest in women's health issues. She is an experienced patient counselor who believes in total education regarding the management of patients' health problems.
She earned both bachelor and master of science degrees in nursing from the University of Wisconsin. She completed her preceptorship and additional training at the UW Hospitals and Clinics. She is a member of the American and Wisconsin Nurses associations, as well as Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
"My greatest strength as a nurse practitioner is being fully informed of my patients' conditions and responding to them in a caring, sensitive manner that educates them on their treatment and relieves them of their anxiety," she says. "Total wellness begins with total understanding."
Katie is a native of Marinette, where she currently resides with her husband, son, and two daughters. Her father, Dr. Dean Magnin, is a retired surgeon from the Marinette Menominee Clinic.
