LeowStrong Bike Ride will begin at Marinette High
School June 24
Marinette, Wi.- The first annual LeowStrong Bike
Ride will begin at Marinette High School on June 24th starting at 6:30 am.
Riders signed up for the 3 routes that day will be able to take off from the
High School from 6:30-9:30 am.
There are three different routes including a 9 mile
(15k) family fun route that is sponsored by Stephenson National Bank and Trust.
This route is perfect for families with small children or those who are out for
a short morning cruise along the Green Bay and country back roads. The
Stephenson National Bank and Trust rest stop will feature kids’ entertainment
such as games and food.
The signature 25 mile route (40K) takes riders to
the famous Johnson Controls rest stop that will once again have burgers and
other food options for riders. The last route is the 50 mile (80K) which will
be great for distance riders. This will take you through Marinette County’s
back roads and take a pit stop at Culligan’s rest stop along the way.
Six different rest stops will be offered throughout
the ride for the three different routes – each offering an abundance of
hydrating drinks and or fulfilling snacks for riders. SAG support will be
provided on all our routes which allow riders access to bike maintenance
support along their rides. Route riders will be monitoring the routes as well
to provide support to our riders to ensure rider safety throughout the day.m
