BAMC offers Bi-monthly childbirth classes providing education about the maternity process. These classes are FREE to the public and you don’t have to be delivering here at BAMC to attend these classes. You must be registered for these classes. You can either register here or call 715-735-4200 Ext. 4050 The Baby Care class is the final session of the four week course and ends the educational series with the most important task at hand, caring for your newborn and what to expect as new parents.
This session revolves around a chapter DVD that helps parents acknowledge various newborn appearances, common behavioral occurrences, expectations for cognitive developmental stages, and provides perspective to the 6 week postpartum period of adjusting to parenthood and all of the changes and challenges new moms and dads can be faced with.
This course combines the visual method of comprehension with instructor and group discussion, along with interactive demonstrations that assist moms/couples familiarize with baby products, daily care tasks, and tips/methods on “how-to”. The class conclusion reinforces teamwork, communication, and parent health promotion.
Each mother/couple that attends will receive a folder filled with useful, pertinent and the latest information on car seat safety, immunizations, infant health and wellness, and baby behaviors, along with community resources for further support and guidance to comfort you through your journey as a new parent.
If confidence, assurance, and know-how is what you are looking to acquire before your precious one makes his/her arrival, then without a doubt, attending this class will be beneficial in one way or another but most often many ways!
